<p><strong><em>Change</em></strong></p>
<p>Human beings tend to embrace everyday routines.  I own several <a href="http://www.elliman.com/long-island">Long Island apartments</a>, which I also tend to as landlord, and I run into people daily that refuse to deviate from their routine.  In fact, they are afraid of any change whatsoever. I’ve had tenants that have lasted nearly a week, and sacrificed their entire deposit so that they could move back home into the world of dependency. This is normal human behavior. People are afraid of change.</p>
<p><strong><em>Loss of Security</em></strong></p>
<p>One of the reasons change is looked down upon by many people is because of the security a normal routine offers them. Change tends to take people out of their comfort zones, which is where they feel most secure.</p>
<p><strong><em>Anxiety</em></strong></p>
<p>Anxiety is a direct cause of change. Fear of change leads to a general sense of worry. Although anxiety is a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stressor">stressor</a> that most people do not enjoy having, it helps people to react to the situation at hand. Although it does motivate you to react, an overbearing amount of stress can have a negative influence.  When anxiety becomes a long-term problem, the person affected should seek special attention.</p>
<p><strong><em>Long-Term Anxiety</em></strong></p>
<p>The first time I had a true episode of anxiety was when I was dealing with a recent change in my life.  I had moved away from home and was feeling homesick and unhappy. These were feelings of anxiety that led to a small panic attack. <a href="http://www.webmd.com/anxiety-panic/guide/coping-with-anxiety">Learning to deal</a> with emotions like these is important. If the mental stress of such a change cannot be overcome, it could lead to physical harm. There are studies that have shown that the heart can be negatively affected by stress.</p>
<p><strong><em>Dealing with Anxiety</em></strong></p>
<p>Anyone who is being severely affected by anxiety should contact a professional counselor.  Speaking about any anxieties you may have with friends or family can be helpful as well. Some people are able to deal with short term anxiety by themselves, but just talking about it with someone will help reduce the stress, if only by a little.</p>
<p>In order to overcome stress by yourself, the first thing you must to do is to recognize your own fear and to accept that you are afraid of the changes that you are dealing with. Even if you know the change that you have made is a positive one, it is still normal to feel anxiety about it.</p>
<p>Add exercise to your daily routine. If you are dealing with a big change in your life, jogging twenty minutes every morning will help establish a new routine to help you balance out the changes you are dealing with. Not only does it help in establishing a routine, it’s also a good way get rid of some stress by becoming more healthy. A more healthy person tends to feel less stressed out, at least physically. Any kind of house chores can help deal with stress as well.  It allows you to focus at the task at hand while keeping your body busy as well.</p>
<p>These are, of course, not lasting solutions to feelings of anxiety. They are temporary ones, although ones that will help reduce your stress level at that time. Try to have a positive outlook on life. Negativity only adds to anxiety, being positive will help you deal with this new change.  One of the best ways to overcome your anxiety and learn to deal with changes in your life is to be positive. Accept your fear of change and it will help you get over your anxiety.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>It&#8217;s perfectly understandable if your recent break up is really taking an emotional toll on you. So much negative energy takes center stage in our lives after a break up and it can be very difficult to overcome it.</p>
<p>However, the good news is there are ways to use your inner strength to help in the healing process so you can move on. Of course, it sounds much easier than it is, but what&#8217;s important is taking the healing process in stages and only move on to the next stage when you&#8217;re absolutely ready.</p>
<p>Try these helpful strategies to reconnect with your inner self and identify the path that will lead you to full recovery and closure:</p>
<p><strong>1.	Find a spiritual connection.</strong> One of the most effective ways to develop the strength to heal after a break up is to develop your spirituality. Being spiritual involves becoming in tune with the true desires and needs of your soul. Once you&#8217;ve made that connection, you&#8217;ll likely realize that the relationship was hurting you instead of helping you.</p>
<p>•	Turn to your church to help you find the true meaning of your existence.<br />
•	Read books that help you get in touch with your inner self.<br />
•	Spend time meditating on what&#8217;s really important to you.</p>
<p><strong>2.	Get motivated.</strong> A really bad break up can make anybody feel down in the dumps, and that&#8217;s probably how you feel right now. However, you must do what you can to motivate yourself to move on. What really motivates you?</p>
<p>•	Do you feel motivated when you achieve goals that are important to you?<br />
•	Will successful completions of projects at work or school get your enthusiasm going?<br />
•	Are you inspired by the success of those closest to you?</p>
<p><strong>3.	Don&#8217;t compromise your happiness.</strong> If any aspects of your past relationship compromised your happiness, then it wasn&#8217;t the right relationship for you. Remember that you&#8217;re a beautiful creation and you&#8217;re supposed to be happy. Strive for relationships that fill you with joy. </p>
<p><strong>4.	Accept support from your friends and family.</strong> Relying on those who are most important to you is a great way to gain the strength to heal. They can bring you words and deeds of comfort and kind reassurance. And that reassurance will help to convince you that you deserve the chance to move on from this break up and find happiness.</p>
<p><strong>5.	Review what went wrong.</strong> Often times, both parties in a relationship are just not compatible. If you spend some time reviewing what went wrong in your relationship, such insights may help you in future relationships. Plus, identifying the flaws will definitely motivate you to move on to something and someone better!</p>
<p>Searching within yourself for the strength to move on after a break up essentially means identifying what you stand for and what makes you truly happy. It also means getting to know yourself better so nobody else can tell you who to be.</p>
<p>Admittedly, break ups are very hard to deal with, but coming to terms with the fact that the relationship is over is the first hurdle to clear. After that, gathering your inner strength and reflecting on your true desires can make it possible to confidently take the next step of moving on.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>The vast array of self improvement books, magazine articles, and websites all testify to the need and desires that so many of us have to make changes in our lives. We want more personal success, more abundance, better health, freedom from addictions and other bad habits. It seems we have the greatest of intentions, and we become motivated and inspired, but far too often we are sabotaged by our own selves. The distractions, the sheer busyness of our lives, a bad day at work, a disagreement with our spouse, worries over our children, the change or loss of a job, or the onset of an illness are a few of the common factors that do us in time after time after time.</p>
<p>Old habits and behaviors run deep and making personal life changes are such an uphill battle that many well meaning and well intentioned people feel a sense of failure everyday. For instance, who doesn&#8217;t want to lose weight, but how many are successful at making the necessary life changes so that losing those extra pounds and keeping them off become a reality?</p>
<p>We tend to carry around so much baggage from our previous attempts as well as the new stuff that we encounter everyday that to many of us it seems a futility to really make changes, which pulls us yet further down into our mode of fears and failures. And yet, we also see people everyday who do succeed in making desired changes. How are they empowered to make those changes, and to use each step along the way to solidify their course?</p>
<p>They are empowered because they have become very very clear about what it is they want to do, be, or achieve. They know exactly who is responsible&#8211;themselves. So they do not allow themselves the luxury of blaming someone or something else. They put the responsibility squarely on themselves, no matter what challenges they face. They do not allow their own guilt to block them either, as so many of us do. They have reached deep into their own heart and have developed an intention and a desire so strong that it cannot be broken by temptations, setbacks, or any circumstance that develops.</p>
<p>They expect to encounter challenges, but they are prepared to face them and with resolution they do not hide, but discover solutions. They remain open to all possibilities and go with their gut when they have choices to make. They recognize the power of their own feelings and knowingness to keep them focused, and so they succeed.</p>
<p>People who overcome major challenges come in all shapes, sizes, racial and ethnic backgrounds, economic circumstances, and family and personal situations. Everyone of us has the ability to empower ourselves and become who we want to be and to make the changes we want to see in the world.</p>

You may have been following the same thought process for years or for decades. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it just means that you need to give the changes plenty of time to occur. Should you fall back into old habits, try to remind yourself why you are working to improve the way that you think. Then get back into that structure as soon as you can. The more you work at it the faster you will complete that transformation process.</p>
<p>You may become frustrated because it hasn’t been an easy road to follow. View that as part of the challenge. In fact, it is supposed to be hard and that part of all of it is going to help you to create a mind that is stronger than it was before. Your brain can learn new things at all stages of life to give you the upper hand. Try to break your overall goal down into steps that are easier to manage. Keep that list in a place where you can see it often. Then you can identify how far you have already come to reaching your final goal. When the going gets tough that type of motivation is going to keep you strong.</p>
<p>The steps you take should increase in difficulty as you move along. This is important to remember. If you put the hardest things to do out there at first you will most likely fail. However, when you have the harder things to perform further down the road you will have more of a vested interest in seeing it through to the end. Your early accomplishments will serve as a solid foundation that you get to build on as you move each step forward.</p>
<p>Make sure that you incorporate a good variety of methods to improve the way that you think. The progress you make will be more obvious when you have more than one tool that you are using. Have fun with these tools as well including reading or games. Don’t continue activities that you get no enjoyment out of. This is because improving the way you think is a positive thing and you don’t want the road to getting there littered with negativity.</p>
<p>It is a good idea to set a time frame for carrying out your goals to improve the way that you think. Saying that you will do it simply isn’t good enough. Have a detailed plan of how you are going to do it. This way you can motivate yourself to follow that plan and those guidelines. Periodically evaluate how that plan is working. If you need to vary it then do so. </p>
<p>Your attitude towards changing the way you think is also something you need to keep in perspective. Being patient is a virtue that too many of us simply don’t have. When you are able to take a deep breath, relax, and stay on track things will fall into place for you. Don’t rush the transformation or assume it won’t happen because it is taking a while. Remember that it did take you a long-time to think the way you do right now. Therefore it is reasonable to expect it to take time for that to all change as well. </p>

It is becoming more and more a foundational part of success as more and more people engage with a coach and get results they could not get without the coach.</p>
<p>Personal coaching has been positively discussed in magazines and newspapers such as Fortune, Time and the Wall Street Journal. It is also a popular talk show subject on radio and TV.</p>
<p>So what is personal coaching? It can be described as working one on one with a mentor or coach that pushes you into your highest potential. It is a positive environmental strength based way of deciding your goals and the specific actions you need to take to reach those goals.</p>
<p>A good coach will be fully engaged in helping you research what it is you REALLY want (the deep down part of you that you were created to be) and will show you what it will take to get there &#8211; breaking it down into small do-able steps you take to propel you forward.</p>
<p>Coaches help you reach your personal success (whatever you decide that is for you). They provide thoughtful encouraging forward-moving accountability that helps you make your goals become your reality.</p>
<p>Coaches are an encouraging guide. They challenge you to expand the way you think and see your life and those around you. They help you make better choices/ decisions about how you invest your time each day. They help you in developing a strategic life plan that actually give you the results you want.</p>
<p>Some results that coaching clients experience are:</p>
<p>* Becoming more organized and efficient which leads to increased profitability and marketability in the work world</p>
<p>* Reducing stress by learning what you need to focus on. Letting go of the extraneous time wasters that hinder you from reaching your goals.</p>
<p>* Completing projects through accountability and positive reinforcement</p>
<p>* Learning how to transition through changes in your personal or professional lives in a way that is best and most in line with your strengths and core beliefs</p>
<p>* Getting positive healthy control over the way you spend your time and your life is scheduled. Feeling great knowing the time you are spending on tasks is fruitful because you have determined (with your coach) exactly what you need to do and not do.</p>

After all, without dreams, we can either become robots following a set of rigid rules or animals operating on pure instinct!  What good is there in living our short time on Earth that way?  Thus, when you have determined that you need to dream, you can adopt the following steps to realize your dream, whatever it may be.  Just keep in mind that dream realization requires passion, persistence and perseverance, all of which will come from deep inside your inner self. </p>
<p><strong>Determine Your Dream</strong></p>
<p>When you want to achieve your dream, you must determine exactly what your dream is. Do you want professional success?  Do you want a happy love life? Do you want a contented family life?  Do you want to travel to an exotic place?  Do you want to explore the deepest oceans?  Do you want to blast off into space?</p>
<p>You have to define in definite terms your dream simply because you cannot achieve something that is not there in the first place.  You can use general terms in doing so &#8211; wealth and prosperity, love and laughter, rest and relaxation. </p>
<p>Of course, in your life, you will have many dreams.  This is alright just as long as you can define your dreams clearly.  And when we say your dreams, we mean that your dreams are dictated by no one but yourself.  Keep in mind that dream realization requires personal passion, of which dictation from others completely defeats the purpose of dreaming.   </p>
<p><strong>Provide Substance to Your Dream</strong></p>
<p>Now that you have defined your dream in general terms, you must then provide substance to it.  This simply means providing the small but important details that make up your dream life.  Think of it as the movie in your mind that comes complete in Technicolor palette, Dolby surround sound, and 3D images. </p>
<p>When you provide substance to your dream, you are also outlining the steps, people, things, events and time frame that must come together in your quest to realize it.  You can use the SMART method of providing substance and planning your dream in relation to the abovementioned factors, thus:</p>
<p>    * Specific &#8211; You must be as specific as possible especially where the steps are concerned.<br />
    * Meaningful &#8211; Your dream must provide meaning to your life, not to mention that it must be stated in measurable terms.<br />
    * Attainable &#8211; You can dream big, yes, but make sure that it is within human reach.<br />
    * Rewarding &#8211; Your dream must be such that the mere thought of achievement will provide motivation to pursue it despite all odds.<br />
    * Time Bound &#8211; You must set a time frame within which you will achieve your dream.  This way, you are more motivated to pursue it since a deadline is approaching. </p>
<p>If you know how to apply creative visualization in dream realization, then you are in luck because this process will definitely help in your cause.  Plus, it is a big factor in success when you perform a thorough self-assessment to determine your assets and liabilities, both material and personal, in relation to your dreams.  And do put your dream and its corresponding plans into writing.  This way, you have tangible way to touch base with it.</p>
<p><strong>Live the Dream</strong></p>
<p>When you have established the various details of your dream it is now time to actually live it!  You must live on it, breathe with it, and exist through it until such time that you have achieved it.  In other words, apply passion, persistence and perseverance to the attainment of your dreams. </p>
<p>There will be challenges and concerns along the way, which can only be expected although you must admit that these only make the quest more exciting and more fulfilling.  You must roll with the punches for indeed there are some things in life that you cannot control.  Just keep your eye on the prize and carry on living your dream. </p>
<p>When you have achieved your dream, enjoy it for indeed you deserve it. Just don&#8217;t forget to share your success with the people who have helped you to get to where you are now, especially those who lent a helping hand. </p>
<p>In conclusion, always remember that dreaming is an easy task to do especially as we are gifted with an imagination that takes us to the deepest oceans and the farthest universe.  The important part is that you actually do something, anything to achieve your dreams.  </p>

Of all the &#8220;positive thinking&#8221; authors, Robbins is by far the most successful and there is a reason for that.  His teachings are practical and start where you are and take you step by step to a more positive and fulfilling life.  And along the way, he teaches you the principles of positive thinking, self-affirmation and how to use the power of your thoughts to begin realizing your dreams.</p>
<p>But it is hard to realize your dreams if you don&#8217;t have time in your life to read the materials you have bought and to think about them so you can make them part of your life.  There may be no more frustrating situation than to realize that your life will begin to get better when you can take the time to learn the important lessons Robbins has to teach. Especially if you cannot take the time to learn them because your life is so hectic and out of control.</p>
<p>When you look at your bookshelf at the several books you have by Robbins, don&#8217;t you wish you had an entire evening a week to just sit and read and work through what Anthony Robbins has to teach?  Well the first thing he would tell you based on what he teaches in his seminars and books is you have to be sensible and start where you are.  By knowing where you, then you have a firm foundation to understand where you are going.  </p>
<p>There may be another way for you to begin to absorb the teachings of Robbins&#8217; materials without setting aside entire evening for reading.  One idea is to instead set aside about fifteen to thirty minutes one or two mornings each week.  Instead of trying to fit reading time in at night when you have chores to do, children to tend to and you are tired and just ready for bed, just set your alarm clock ahead by a half-hour once or twice a week.</p>
<p>When you rise, don’t give yourself an extensive reading assignment.  Robbins principles are taught in small concepts, each of which is suitable for contemplation and reflection.  In fact, if you digest one of Anthony Robbins&#8217; books slowly by reading just 20-30 minutes a day, you give yourself time to absorb what you have learned and think about it all day long.  </p>
<p>So sit down with the book you are trying to conquer and simply read one concept or idea from your current chapter.  Read it slowly and if you need to, read it again or read it out loud.  These ideas are revolutionary and their intent is to change how you think.  So once you have read the concept until you understand it, put the book down.  If there are exercises that would help you implement that part of Robbins’s teachings, note them for later.  Now you are ready to start your day.</p>
<p>You have many small moments in your day when you are waiting and your time is not used.  They might come in traffic as you commute in your car or on the bus or train.  Or you may have moments while waiting for a meeting.  Use those small spans of time to reflect on what you learned that morning.  By allowing that teaching to linger in the back of your mind, it can integrate into your consciousness.  </p>
<p>Then by that evening you will begin to have an understanding of what you read that is deeper than you can get with just a quick read.  You will learn more and learn better and before long you will have conquered those materials and know the satisfaction that you are on your way to a better and happier life because you stuck with it.</p>

Well there are ways to build it up so you don’t do anything destructive and you can do that by following these tips. </p>
<p>First, take a look at yourself and make an assessment. We are not all perfect. There are things that we are ashamed of and there are things that we regret doing. With that, we have to recognize our insecurities. </p>
<p>Once we are able to recognize our insecurities, it is time to for us to try to make it go away. The best way to do is to talk with our loved ones and friends about it. Listen to their advice and then try to resolve one issue before moving on to the next one. </p>
<p>If we only look at our faults, we are not giving credit to whom we are so we must also identify our strengths and successes. Think about what you are good at and then be proud of it. You could excel in a sport, play a musical instrument or have talent drawing. </p>
<p>For those who don’t think they don’t have any talent but would like to see where they can excel in, you should probably try out a few classes and then continue doing whichever makes you happy. </p>
<p>Another way you can build up your self-esteem is to be happy with what you have. Many times, we wish we had more money, live in a bigger house or drive a fancier car. If you are able to appreciate what you have rather than wishing for something you don’t, you will never feel incomplete or unsatisfied with how your life is right now. </p>
<p>Part of building your self-esteem is being optimistic. This means having a positive outlook in life and never allowing others to put you down. If you let this upset you, this could bring you down even more. So just filter out the good from the bad because only you can determine what happens in your future.</p>
<p>You build up your self-esteem every single day the moment you wake up in the morning. Once you get out of bed, look in the mirror and smile because the expression on your face tells your brain that today is going to be a great day. </p>
<p>If you go to work or school with a problem, don’t let other people see it because they could take advantage of it. With that, you have to learn how to fake it so everyone will think how confident you are.</p>
<p>This will even come in handy when you try something for the first time or want to take a gamble on something. If things don’t work out, at least you can say you tried and if you want to do it again, you can learn from your mistakes and hopefully achieve better results. </p>
<p>How to build up self-esteem takes time so don’t expect to make a complete 180 degree of yourself overnight. Apart from focusing on yourself, you also have to be sensitive to the needs of others. You are just one person out of more than 6 billion people in this world and you have to get along with almost everyone you meet. Never try to be someone you’re not because people will see your true colors. </p>
