The majority of us live stressful and hectic lives. It seems that we’re busy 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and never have enough time to accomplish what we need to. Whether it’s your boss demanding overtime, your children needing your constant focus, or your spouse requesting your attention, every day seems like a whirlwind.

You love your family and need your job, but chances are, you tend to neglect yourself in the interim. It’s extremely important that you don’t let this happen. Put aside some time each and every day to make YOU a priority.

With a bit of creative thinking and time management, there are ways to find peace in your daily chaos. When you turn off the outside chaos, it gives you a chance to revel in all that is good and right with your world. And when you do this, you emerge with renewed energy and a fresh new attitude!

Follow these tips to enjoy more peace in your life:

1.	Read a good book. If you’re one of many who enjoy reading, this may be just what you need. You can spend some time immersed in a different place or time, which will help you regain your calm. If you have a hard time focusing for long periods of time, try an audio book instead.

2.	Listen to uplifting music. Music has always had wonderful and mysterious powers. It’s used to calm children, the elderly, and even animals during times of stress and angst. Play music that appeals to you. Dance, sing along, or just sit back and listen to its beautiful melody.

3.	Reflect and meditate. Focus on everything that’s good and right with your life. Think of those you love and what you hope for them in the future. Think about your own future as well and what you hope to achieve in your lifetime.

•	Close your eyes, sit in a comfortable chair, or lie down on your bed. Block out all sources of stress and think only positive thoughts.

4.	Enjoy some family time. Spending time with those you love is often a great stress reliever. Choose a fun activity that you can all enjoy. You may want to play a board game or pop some popcorn and watch a movie together.

•	It really doesn’t matter what you do as long as you can have some fun and relax together.

5.	Get some assistance from the experts. Many noted authors have written invaluable books on the topics of de-stressing and de-cluttering your life. You can even purchase these books in an audio format and listen to them during your commute.

•	When you’re stuck in traffic, rather than getting upset, why not turn this time into a way to de-stress?

6.	Slow down. Take your time, stop and smell the roses, and listen to the birds chirp. Everything you need so desperately to accomplish will still be there waiting for you five minutes later. It’s a beautiful world out there! Do everything you can to make sure you enjoy every minute of it.

Use these tips every day to help you discover all the beautiful and wondrous things in your life and you’ll also find peace in your chaos!

Many people go through life’s usual phases of ups and downs which are common and normal stages in life. However, when your self-esteem is low, you may need to know how to boost your self-esteem, since it can lead to problems you may not have thought of.

Self–esteem is the measurement or the value of how a person knows his worth and its effects are life–changing and dramatic, since it makes up a person’s attitude and outlook towards life.

Simply put, self–esteem is the fuel that makes you feel important or loved by others. When self–esteem is low, you can either sulk and be sad or be afraid to try out new things or take risks and chances with your love-life, career, relationships and self–improvement.

Self–esteem plays a key role in the maturity of a person, especially when trying to get away from a precarious situation, weathering a personal crisis or going through a series of trials in life. Our normal responses to these circumstances and situations are governed by how we value ourselves and how our decisions are dictated by these conditions.

Faced with tough decisions in life, the more self-esteem one has – the better it is for that person to make sound decisions, even under the face of peer pressure or stress at work and at home. Let us try to look into some of the common and best practices which have been tried and tested to help boost self–esteem.

Always compliment yourself daily, especially by trying to look for specific tasks you did well for that day and congratulate yourself for it.

It will give you a regular motivation to work harder and better to improve yourself and develop your sense of maturity as a person. List down all things you are good at doing and achieving, be it a talent, skill, sport or building up other people.

You can add more focus to these good points and these will fuel our passion to do better. They make you not only understand yourself more, but also give you the true meaning and measurement of self-worth and this is how you see yourself as important.

Appreciation of one’s physical appearance and bearing can also be your source of self–esteem, be it the size and shape of your body, your overall physical structure or unique features.

Your body can be your source of pride and will help you understand how you would like others to see you, or work on your physical appearance to boost self–morale and satisfaction.

Although you may regard yourself as important or having a sound mind, there are just some things you cannot change.

Sometimes when you see things in a different light or perspective from others, don’t focus too much on making sure that what you think will cause things to change. More often times it will not, but don’t let that cloud your opinion about yourself.

When you have good self–esteem you will realize that what you did was right and was made under your own good judgment, sound principles and concepts based on your personal outlook and attitude towards life.

Do not let negative feedback affect you. Of course, one cannot help but feel bad about negative comments or reactions, but you have to consider that these are tests against your character and personality. When your self–esteem is high, you are less likely to be affected by these situations.

So try to look at yourself and see, and if you feel less important or are not satisfied with how you see and look at things, then think about ways on how to boost your self–esteem – you’ll thank yourself for it.

Whether you might be staying home with a new baby or working too many hours at the office, any time is a good time for yoga. You can do yoga stretches and postures in bed or even while driving to work.

Hundreds of fitness seekers use their lunch hour to squeeze in exercise and take off extra pounds.

I occasionally use my lunch hour for Yoga, said John Ray White, 35, who works at the Arkansas attorney general’s office. Downward facing dog and sun salutation are two of the postures she practices every day.

Practicing yoga in the middle of day some people think is the break that they need to face the afternoon, said Ray.

Lunch hour fitness routines become more popular in warm weather.

Kick Back Log-on Pose

Interlace your fingers behind your head. Relax your elbows and shoulders. Smile, breathe and stretch your elbows back. Let the tightness release slowly.

E-mail Meditation

While reading your e-mail, remember to breathe slowly and focus your attention on your breath. Make the out-breath two times longer than the in-breath. This will immediately calm you.

Photocopier Stretch

Place your hands-on the edge of the copier. Stand back with feet apart. Drop your head and chest. Breathe and relax your shoulders.

Close-the-deal Warrior Pose

Raise your arms to the side with fingers pointed. Take a big step to the side, with your right foot out and knee bent, your left foot planted, left leg straight. Keep the upper body straight and strong, shoulders relaxed. Relax into the stretch — don’t hold your breath. Return to a standing position, switch sides and repeat.

You can find your purpose in life by using the power of meditation. Meditation is a beneficial aid for those who wish to reduce the various levels of stress in their lives which cause them grief in various ways depending on their particular situation and growth patterns of life.

Meditation can help revitalize your mind, body and spirit; all the while helping you find what it is that is inside yourself that leads you along your life path and purpose. You can drastically enhance and improve the quality of your life and your experience with inner peace and tranquility with meditation.

When you are ready to find your purpose by using the power of meditation in order to find within yourself those things that are trying to lead you to your destination in life you will find that it makes a great deal of difference in your lifestyle.

A Quick and Simple Meditation Tutorial

- Find an area that is serenely quiet to perform your meditations uninterrupted, outdoors is always a good choice when possible and practical.

- Sit in a comfortable position with your back straight using no type of back support. Keep your shoulders in alignment with your hips as you slightly arch your back. When you perform proper posture you are more alert and experience better blood circulation which releases stress on your nerves.

- Close your eyes or focus on an object or the flame of a candle.

- Clear you mind of the past and future while focusing on the present. When other thoughts arise you should acknowledge them and allow them to pass.

- Pay attention to your breathing by taking a long, slow cleansing breath and then slowly exhale while noticing the feeling of breath moving in and out of your nose or the sound of your breath. You will use breathing techniques that involve breathing from deep within your diaphragm. Successful breathing techniques aid you in quickly relaxing while you meditate.

- While you are doing this in meditation you will allow yourself, your thoughts and emotions to simply be, accept them as they are without judgments. Allow yourself to experience the sensations of being in the now as you are. It is an awareness that brings the power of blissful peace.

- And finally no matter where your meditations may take you always bring your awareness back to paying attention to your breathing pattern.

Keep in mind however, that in order to get the best results from your meditations you should maintain a positive attitude while you begin to relax your body. Your objective is to successfully clear your mind and relax your body rather than stressing yourself about everyday occurrences or indulge in daydreams. When you do experience these others it is best to focus on getting your mind back to the meditation you are performing. Once you begin meditating to find your purpose in life it will become easier and easier for you to get yourself in the relaxed state for meditation.

All over the world in any time frame there have been the inner voices of every individual. Are you like many other individuals who wonder how to quiet your inner critic? No matter whom you may be or what you may have or not have or even where you may be, it is a natural part of the growing process and patterns of life to develop thought and deed patterns. For the most part, these internal beliefs develop because of some outside entity, whether it is elemental or in the form of another individual or individuals. Your inner critic is actually there to aid you in life, however as time progresses for the majority of individuals this process develops into negativity in thought patterns.

Recognizing Your Inner Critic

The inner critic generally works in the background of the mind in the levels of the unconscious level. However, there are times we are aware of our inner critic. Most often we do not even realize the potential influence that it has in our everyday life. Whenever our inner critic takes on a negative focus rather than a positive focus, we experience higher levels of stress, anxiety and depression.

You can easily recognize your own inner critic as that voice inside your mind that tries to lead you in some way. If you have been programmed by the negative influences of others and outside elements within your realm of existence you mind often takes on the role of replaying a lot of unnecessary and detrimental inner dialog that generally degrades you in some way. However, you should know that you can learn how to quiet your inner critic and create the type of life and life patterns that are more positive and will aid you in becoming who you really are as you follow the true purpose of your life.

Accepting Your Inner Critic

One of the most essential steps in learning how to quiet your inner critic involves acknowledging that it exists not only in yourself but in others around you. The inner critic exists as an internal controlling voice inside your mind. Everyone has one. Although it is a small voice it can become very loudly and negatively focused although it is not by any means the entirety of your very existence since it actually does not truly hold a place within your heart of hearts.

What does all this mean when it comes to how to quite your inner critic? It means that everyone goes through it since we all have this small inner voice to help guide us. Sometimes your inner critic does get bogged down by outside influences and rather than being a resourceful aid it can sometimes be overwhelmingly confusing while drawing to us the negativity that we allow it to. However, there are various means of helping you to learn how to bring calm and quiet into your mind by using such products that provide you with the tools to overcome the negativity by replacing it with positive thoughts patterns in order to make great things happen in your life.

When you are ready to find the best means of calming your inner critic and refocusing on the positive prospective of you as an individual and your life there are useful resources available to you today.

Are you concerned about your life and who you are? Do you ever wonder if you have effectively used your time and done the very best that you can when you do the things you do? Have you identified your true purpose in life and done all those things that you always wanted to do to enhance your life? Have you taken the time to sit down and thoughtfully consider you dreams and goals in life? Are you interested in how to have more meaning in your life as you progress along the path to find your true meaning in life? There are many individuals who do as this is a natural growth process.

However, as humans we only have so much time on this earth. It is in our best interests to take full advantage of our time and our lives every single day in order to create a better life.

You can begin learning how to have more meaning in your life by taking the time to count and recount the positive aspects of your life. You should do this routinely and especially those times when your inner voice seems to be influencing you in a negative manner. Identify those things that you can do right now to create yourself a much more worthwhile life and lifestyle. When you become more conscious of how your patterns of impression from outside sources develop and you begin to practice patterns that are more positive, honest and caring whether you do it by some small manner or something extraordinary, life will begin sending you the desires you have for having more meaningful experiences in your life.

You also need to sit down in quiet contemplation and consider your hopes, dreams and lifetime goals. You can best do this by actually writing down your goals in a notebook or on a sheet of paper as this is much more resourceful than giving your mind another task to try to keep up with for you. Writing out your goals aid you by providing you with a map of sorts to guide you on your way as you achieve your most precious wishes for a more meaningful life. While you are creating your list of lifetime goals you should consider actually doing those things that seem worthwhile to you. Acting rather than just planning or talking about doing something is so much better. It also reduces your odds of regretting any of those things that you may want to do but never did once you enter old age.

Remember, when you do put forth your very best efforts and positive vibrations while doing your best at anything you may encounter you will get back the very best in results. Life will give you back that which you focus on most intently whether it is negative or positive and since there is a choice in these two influences it is much more productive to send forth positive to receive positive.

Accept yourself for who you are and then work on those things that will make a difference in your life as you learn how to have more meaning in your life today and in the future. You will notice a difference in your quality of life.

The mind composes of emotions and thoughts, which stem from the subconscious mind and the conscious mind. The mind has audio and visual capabilities, which invokes the triggers that stressors slam on our emotions.

After years of dealing with stressors, stress, words, sounds, observations, teachings, et cetera, the mind comes to the terms that it needs to decide what is lacking to reach inner peace. We hear lies, philosophies, theories, truths, opinions, and case studies throughout our lifetime, thus the mind overloaded searches for the truths of each piece of information going through the channels of the brain.

Traditions, beliefs and standards compose when the mind reaches certain faze of development. The beliefs, standards and traditions integrate into our minds by influences, experience, teachings, politics, law and religion.

Criminal justice instigated and enforced a history of pain and suffering, while many religions work hard to convince the mind of their beliefs, standards and traditions. Religion alone is a broad influence that evokes thoughts and triggers the emotions. As created souls, on earth we are here to fulfill needs, desires, and a spiritual part of our souls.

If our mind lacks what we need that makes an entire human being feel peace, thus the mind works on emotions that lead people in to chaos.

To find inner peace you must reach deep within your mind, which controls our entire being, searching for what you need to restore your peace of mind. To do this you must come to grips with your emotions, mind, and remove any guile that clams the emotions. You must also search your heart to learn if any guile paints your mind into a world of negative thinking, guilt, or doubts.

Doubts mean that you have not found a truth in particular information that came available in your mind through teaching, observation, sound, et cetera. Doubt can also exist when a person is in a relationship. Finding where the doubt is stemming from will help you to put the pieces together to find the truths and satisfy the emotions.

From the beginning of time, our creation included a conscious and subconscious. When we are conscious and in touch with our subconscious mind it shows strong character, positive persuasion, convictions, and inner peace.

The subconscious mind is similar to the emotions with the different that the emotions when triggered act out in several ways, while the subconscious mind prompts the emotions. The emotions may not have an answer at the time it is triggered, since the subconscious mind is storing data linked to the stress occurred by the trigger, thus finding peace with the subconscious mind is finding inner peace.

We all have a past and stemming from our past is guile that accumulated down through the years. The guile stores itself in either the conscious mind or subconscious mind and waits for the right moment to display itself to self or others. Some of us have very haunting pasts, thus recommendation to trauma patients searching for inner peace, should be to search the subconscious mind in a safe haven, or at your counselors office.

It is far too dangerous in some instances for trauma patients to attempt finding their inner peace. Still it is doable. The subconscious has the truths stored within, since the beginning of our creation; we have the ability to find the truth.

Finding the truth is a long process, however at the end of the road is a bright future waiting for you. When a person comes to terms with the subconscious mind, thus the emotions learn to relax.

To find inner peace self-talk can direct you along the path. Learning self-talk skills will help you to come in contact with your emotions, thoughts, subconscious mind, beliefs, traditions, et cetera. Self-talk guides you through the chambers of your mind, into the world of your past and future, and will help you to determine what you want from life.

Thus, the conclusion says it all, since when you know what you want out of life, inner peace guides you the rest of the way through your journey of reaching your goals, going for your dreams, and filling your desires.

It increases muscular strength. It reduces tension and stress. It has a low potential for injury, and it doesn’t even look like exercise.

Why, then, don’t more people practice yoga.

People think of yoga as being passive and mystical – an otherworldly activity that doesn’t relate to their lives. People are experiencing a vacuum because of all the outward directed activity, and they are going to have to go back to the experience of self.

Although the Indian discipline of yoga has been practiced for more than 5,000 years, in this country there are few followers. Almost half the American adult population swims and close to a quarter runs or jogs, yet only 2 percent practices yoga.

The word yoga derives from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning to yoke or connect. Through yoga’s various techniques, one is said to arrive at mental and physical equilibrium, better health and inner peace. It has been described as providing, in effect, a ”work-in” rather than a workout.

There are at least eight main branches of yoga and several offshoots of each, but essentially there are only two concerned with exercise: hatha yoga and kundalini yoga.

Hatha is the most popular type of yoga in the Western world. It is a slow-paced discipline that emphasizes controlled breathing and assuming various physical poses. It is said to aid the nervous system, the glands and the vital organs.

Kundalini, which was introduced to this country in 1969 by Yogi Bhajan, is more active, combining various modes of breathing, movement and meditation. It is based on the idea that body energy that is coiled below the base of the spine can be tapped so that it travels upward through different energy centers or chakras until it reaches the head. At this point one arrives at one’s highest potential.

Classically, there are 84 basic yoga positions, or asanas, which are coordinated with special breathing techniques. The asanas range from simple bends and twists to pretzel-like contortions reserved for the most advanced practitioners. The various poses elongate the muscles and build flexibility. Along with the proper breathing, they help rid the body of tension. Static holds isolate and strengthen particular muscles.

Asanas have been evolved over the centuries so as to exercise every muscle, nerve and gland in the body. They secure a fine physique, which is strong and elastic without being muscle-bound, and they keep the body free from disease. They reduce fatigue and soothe the nerves. But their real importance lies in the way they train and discipline the mind.
