Do you ever feel lost when trying to achieve your goals, especially when progress seems so far away?

If you’ve lost your way in trying to achieve a goal, you may find it difficult to rebuild your motivation. But there’s nothing stopping you from picking yourself up again!

If you feel like you’re off track, now is the perfect time for you to gather your thoughts and move forward again. This is a perfectly achievable feat, but you must be willing to give it your all.

Try this strategy to rediscover your motivation:

1.	Figure out where you want to be. What do you want in your life? What matters most to you right now and where do you want to go from here? Take the time to visualize your dream life. Try to envision as many details as you can so you can get a feel for what you truly desire.

2.	Commit these ideas to paper. Write the details out clearly. Focus on what you do want rather than what you don’t have or don’t want. Put all of this information down on paper in a format that works for you, such as a mind map or a brainstorm cloud. You need to be able to process this information after you jot it down on paper.

3.	Review your current goals. How do your current goals and aspirations relate to your dream life? Are you setting specific goals for what you really want to achieve in life? If not, then revise your goals so they’re in line with what you actually want. Your goals are only effective if they’re driving you toward the future you desire.

4.	Create visual representations of your goals. It’s important to keep your goals in mind. Leave reminders for yourself on note cards, sticky notes, poster boards, dry erase boards, and anywhere else that you’ll see them and be able to think about them.

•	Keeping your goals in mind is essential to developing the motivation to see them through to their fruition.

5.	Enlist help and support. Surround yourself with loved ones that support you and your goals. They’ll be some of the best help for relocating your motivation. Encircle yourself with people that motivate you, cheer you on, and feed you positive energy at every turn.

6.	Remind yourself consistently. Why do you want these specific goals? Close your eyes and visualize your dream life often, in detail, and review your action plan to remind yourself how you’re going to get there.

•	When the “why” of your goals is important to you, the “how” more easily appears. Knowing exactly what you want and how you’re going to get there brings consistent motivation. With a detailed action plan of achievable steps, you’re excited about your next step and tackle challenges with gusto to get past them and move on!

When you take decisive action to achieve your goals, you can find the strength and motivation to carry on. Avoid letting obstacles in your path prevent you from attaining the dream life that you deserve because, with hard work, the ability to bring your dreams to life is just around the corner.

If the goal you’ve set is worthwhile, expect some resistance. Any significant goal in your life can only be reached by overcoming challenges along the way.

At each obstacle along the way, you can choose to either give up or press forward. You will succeed if you resolve to rise to the challenge, instead of sitting on the sidelines of life.

Try these strategies to get past your challenges and achieve your goals:

1.	Identify Obstacles. Determine exactly what’s standing between you and your goal. When you think about a goal, what negative thoughts come into your mind? Write them down without stopping to think about what you’re writing. Think of all the reasons you could fail, and write them down.

•	This strategy may seem contrary to much of the advice you’ve seen regarding goal setting. But when you’re done, you’ll have a powerful list of challenges that stand in your way. Go through the list and ask yourself how you can overcome each challenge.

•	Put your plan into action, and keep attacking one challenge after another until you reach your goal.

2.	Educate Yourself. Learn all you can about the challenges in front of you. The more you know about the circumstances or events that lie ahead, the better equipped you’ll be to meet and beat each challenge as it comes.

3.	Seek advice. Do you know anyone who has achieved the goal you’re setting out to accomplish? Ask that person for a meeting. Talk to them about how they got to where they are today. What mistakes have they made? What worked and what didn’t? Your mentor may point out obstacles you haven’t thought about.

•	Use the experience of others to shorten your learning curve.

4.	Think small. If you’ve set a worthy goal, you’ll face doubts if you only look at the big picture. Instead, take out your list of negatives, pick one and get to work on solving that one challenge. When you’re done, move on to the next obstacle on the list. Continue until you’ve reached your goal. Take small steps, consistently, to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

5.	Remember “why.” If you have a big enough “why,” your “how” will take care of itself. Take a few minutes to write down all the benefits of reaching this goal. What will your life be like? How will you feel about yourself? How will your quality of life improve? How will the lives of your loved ones be better? Read through your list daily for motivation.

6.	Celebrate small victories. Each hurdle that you overcome gets you one step closer to your goal. Instead of waiting to celebrate the final achievement of your objectives, seek small ways to celebrate each little victory. These small rewards will spur you on to more action that will ultimately lead you to the doorstep of the destiny you deserve.

7.	Enjoy the journey. Overcoming the challenges in front of you will create a sense of pride and joy in your accomplishments. Remember to enjoy the process. When you face roadblocks, refuse to dwell on them. Instead, focus on solutions that propel you forward.

Above all, keep a positive attitude. Expect difficulty and prepare yourself to meet each one head on. Seek the advice of those who have succeeded before you, and review daily why your goal is important. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and enjoy each little success along the way. If you do, you can achieve anything your heart desires.

Do you find it difficult to stay motivated for extended time periods? Perhaps you find it difficult to do things you don’t really want to – eating properly, exercising, studying a subject you don’t like, perhaps it is your job which zaps your motivation?

A common scenario is that you make plans to start a new project – whether it be a diet, an exercise routine, taking up a new hobby . In the beginning your are hyped up, enthusiastic, and really keen and motivated to get going. You dive straight into the new project, you stick to your plans, and you start to feel great, even getting some positive early results perhaps. You see the end result clearly and you are excited by it – whatever it is; a flat tummy, an increase in salary, pr perhaps success in yourr education.

However, as time goes on your excitement wears off as perhaps you face setbacks, or just stop seeing the results you thought you would. You find yourself becomming less and less motivated.

What if we could stay motivated – maintain that higher level of buzz and drive we have at the start of a new project right throughout – well this can be a reality!

An increasingly popular way to increase motivation is with subliminal audio as a tool to help increase levels of increase your levels of motivation and stop procrastination before it gets any worse.

It was once shrouded in mystery but it is a simple concept really. They basically work as a mild form of hypnosis, and instead of entering a trance the subliminal audio reach your subconscious mind naturally – without you even being aware of them.

You will not ever hear any audible words as they are moved to a greater sound frequency which only your subconscious mind can intercept. Once it does it processes them and stores them exactly like it would with any other information, gradually the subliminal statements really start to build within your subconscious mind and gradually make sustained changes to your self beliefs and perceptions – and in this instance to your levels of motivation.

Motivation is a key part of subliminal messaging. It is because motivation is largely goverened by our unconscious mind – if you are motivated in one area you will be able to apply that into all other areas of your life, so by influencing the subconscious mind on a deep level you improve your base levels of motivation and this continues and influences all areas of your life.

If you are new to subliminal messaging then you can get started today with the world’s most powerful subliminal motivation

One of the most difficult parts of goal achievement is simply getting started. It’s easy enough to dream and plan, but many people get stuck in this phase indefinitely and avoid taking action. Planning and dreaming might make you feel like you’re doing something about your goals, but if you never actually take a step forward you’ll never achieve them. In order to see measurable progress, you have to step out of your comfort zones and take action.

When you finally do gather your courage and begin moving forward, what usually happens? You realize it’s WAY harder than you thought it would be, right? It feels like you’re trying to run uphill. You keep tripping over obstacles, facing setbacks and delays, dealing with fear and anxiety, and fighting a daily battle to stay motivated.

It’s during this difficult phase that most people give up. They decide that “it isn’t meant to be” right now, so they set their dream aside and vow to try again later. Or worse, they resign themselves to a mediocre life because they don’t believe they have what it takes to succeed. They’ve “failed,” so they’re not going to try any more.

Have you done this? Most people have!

However, this doesn’t have to be the end of the story. You can pick up your dreams, dust them off and try again. But this time you should know about a little something called Momentum.

You see, the difficult phase I just described is what happens at the beginning when you’re trying to gain momentum. Most people quit during this phase because they think it’s ALWAYS going to be this hard. What they don’t realize is that every effort they put toward the achievement of their goals will build on the previous efforts. With every step forward the process gets easier and easier. Finally, they’ve put so much energy and effort into the process that momentum begins to take over. Suddenly they realize that they don’t have to push so hard to keep moving forward. It becomes fun . . . even easy to achieve their goal.

This same experience can be yours! All you have to do is keep moving forward. Keep working toward your dreams and never quit. Momentum WILL take over eventually!

If you want to get momentum working even more quickly for you there are a few ways to do it, but they can be summed up in one sentence:

Be willing to work harder, faster and take bigger risks than you have in the past.

The reason why momentum can be delayed sometimes is because many people take very tentative steps toward their goals. They’re afraid to really give it their all, so they hold back much of the energy and power they could be devoting toward their goal. Even if they’re not aware of it, they may feel more comfortable working at a slower pace, so they avoid taking big risks and instead take baby steps.

There’s not a thing wrong with this approach if it suits you! However, if you want to make faster progress and build momentum quickly, think about taking bigger steps and giving your full energy and focus toward making it happen. By doing so, you’ll push through the difficult beginning and find yourself coasting before you know it.

We’ve all asked the question: How does the motivator stay motivated when it’s obvious he or she is being beset with seemingly insurmountable obstacles? No matter who we are, we will all be granted a share of success and failure.

It’s easy to stay motivated when we reach one goal after another. We may even find it difficult to understand how someone can be down in the dumps when life can be so good to you. Then, failures, problems and obstacles enter your life and it’s not so easy to remain motivated.

Even the most renowned leaders and speakers must find a way to overcome these burdens and move forward if they’re to maintain success in both their professional and personal life.

There are many ways to overcome your obstacles and make your motivation continue to soar; but on the other hand, there is no one perfect answer for everyone. You must find the way within yourself.

Understand what’s causing your fears and your obstacles. The reasons could be tangible or they could be emotional. They could be real or imagined. Once you’ve determined what your fears are, ask yourself what is the worse case scenario.

If all of your obstacles and fears become reality what is the worse thing that could happen. When put into perspective, the culmination of these events probably would not be the end of your life or even your lifestyle as you know it.

Believe in your goals and yourself and nothing can stop you. Analyze what you’re striving for and what you and your company, or your family, will gain by achieving these goals. If you do not believe in what you’re doing then you’re on the wrong track and should return to square one for reassessment.

Take action quickly. Visualize yourself overcoming these obstacles and your triumph over them. Don’t put off positive action no matter how small and seemingly insignificant.

The smallest success that stems from your action instills faith and belief in yourself and your ability to succeed. Obstacles have many faces and we must decide how we can stare them down. If the magnitude of the obstacles is too large for you to handle emotionally, break it down into smaller tasks.

Remain cheerful and positive and watch the size of the problem diminish. It’s the old rule of mind over matter, or obstacles if you will. Refuse to let negative thoughts rule your brain.

Stay inspired. You can do this by reading inspirational books, or watching motivational video or audio courses. Your environment should consist of inspirational people and things. Our surroundings enable us to become what we are.

Obstacles are inevitable but how we deal with them is not. We can choose to overcome and be happy or we can be miserable. Don’t dwell on self-doubt. Are your fears realities or something you fear might happen if you fail to take proper action? Faith is instilled when you tackle the task.

One of the great motivators of our time is Margaret Thatcher who said, “Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It’s not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it’s when you’ve had everything to do, and you’ve done it.”

It is becoming more and more a foundational part of success as more and more people engage with a coach and get results they could not get without the coach.

Personal coaching has been positively discussed in magazines and newspapers such as Fortune, Time and the Wall Street Journal. It is also a popular talk show subject on radio and TV.

So what is personal coaching? It can be described as working one on one with a mentor or coach that pushes you into your highest potential. It is a positive environmental strength based way of deciding your goals and the specific actions you need to take to reach those goals.

A good coach will be fully engaged in helping you research what it is you REALLY want (the deep down part of you that you were created to be) and will show you what it will take to get there – breaking it down into small do-able steps you take to propel you forward.

Coaches help you reach your personal success (whatever you decide that is for you). They provide thoughtful encouraging forward-moving accountability that helps you make your goals become your reality.

Coaches are an encouraging guide. They challenge you to expand the way you think and see your life and those around you. They help you make better choices/ decisions about how you invest your time each day. They help you in developing a strategic life plan that actually give you the results you want.

Some results that coaching clients experience are:

* Becoming more organized and efficient which leads to increased profitability and marketability in the work world

* Reducing stress by learning what you need to focus on. Letting go of the extraneous time wasters that hinder you from reaching your goals.

* Completing projects through accountability and positive reinforcement

* Learning how to transition through changes in your personal or professional lives in a way that is best and most in line with your strengths and core beliefs

* Getting positive healthy control over the way you spend your time and your life is scheduled. Feeling great knowing the time you are spending on tasks is fruitful because you have determined (with your coach) exactly what you need to do and not do.

Personal coaching is not a fad. It is a proven method for improving your life that creates results you would not see otherwise.

Dreams are what make our lives on Earth more meaningful, more exciting and more fulfilling. After all, without dreams, we can either become robots following a set of rigid rules or animals operating on pure instinct! What good is there in living our short time on Earth that way? Thus, when you have determined that you need to dream, you can adopt the following steps to realize your dream, whatever it may be. Just keep in mind that dream realization requires passion, persistence and perseverance, all of which will come from deep inside your inner self.

Determine Your Dream

When you want to achieve your dream, you must determine exactly what your dream is. Do you want professional success? Do you want a happy love life? Do you want a contented family life? Do you want to travel to an exotic place? Do you want to explore the deepest oceans? Do you want to blast off into space?

You have to define in definite terms your dream simply because you cannot achieve something that is not there in the first place. You can use general terms in doing so – wealth and prosperity, love and laughter, rest and relaxation.

Of course, in your life, you will have many dreams. This is alright just as long as you can define your dreams clearly. And when we say your dreams, we mean that your dreams are dictated by no one but yourself. Keep in mind that dream realization requires personal passion, of which dictation from others completely defeats the purpose of dreaming.

Provide Substance to Your Dream

Now that you have defined your dream in general terms, you must then provide substance to it. This simply means providing the small but important details that make up your dream life. Think of it as the movie in your mind that comes complete in Technicolor palette, Dolby surround sound, and 3D images.

When you provide substance to your dream, you are also outlining the steps, people, things, events and time frame that must come together in your quest to realize it. You can use the SMART method of providing substance and planning your dream in relation to the abovementioned factors, thus:

    * Specific – You must be as specific as possible especially where the steps are concerned.
* Meaningful – Your dream must provide meaning to your life, not to mention that it must be stated in measurable terms.
* Attainable – You can dream big, yes, but make sure that it is within human reach.
* Rewarding – Your dream must be such that the mere thought of achievement will provide motivation to pursue it despite all odds.
* Time Bound – You must set a time frame within which you will achieve your dream. This way, you are more motivated to pursue it since a deadline is approaching.

If you know how to apply creative visualization in dream realization, then you are in luck because this process will definitely help in your cause. Plus, it is a big factor in success when you perform a thorough self-assessment to determine your assets and liabilities, both material and personal, in relation to your dreams. And do put your dream and its corresponding plans into writing. This way, you have tangible way to touch base with it.

Live the Dream

When you have established the various details of your dream it is now time to actually live it! You must live on it, breathe with it, and exist through it until such time that you have achieved it. In other words, apply passion, persistence and perseverance to the attainment of your dreams.

There will be challenges and concerns along the way, which can only be expected although you must admit that these only make the quest more exciting and more fulfilling. You must roll with the punches for indeed there are some things in life that you cannot control. Just keep your eye on the prize and carry on living your dream.

When you have achieved your dream, enjoy it for indeed you deserve it. Just don’t forget to share your success with the people who have helped you to get to where you are now, especially those who lent a helping hand.

In conclusion, always remember that dreaming is an easy task to do especially as we are gifted with an imagination that takes us to the deepest oceans and the farthest universe. The important part is that you actually do something, anything to achieve your dreams.

You may have come to that point as many of us have of realizing the improvement you have seen in other people’s lives after reading the books that Anthony Robbins has written is something you want. Of all the “positive thinking” authors, Robbins is by far the most successful and there is a reason for that. His teachings are practical and start where you are and take you step by step to a more positive and fulfilling life. And along the way, he teaches you the principles of positive thinking, self-affirmation and how to use the power of your thoughts to begin realizing your dreams.

But it is hard to realize your dreams if you don’t have time in your life to read the materials you have bought and to think about them so you can make them part of your life. There may be no more frustrating situation than to realize that your life will begin to get better when you can take the time to learn the important lessons Robbins has to teach. Especially if you cannot take the time to learn them because your life is so hectic and out of control.

When you look at your bookshelf at the several books you have by Robbins, don’t you wish you had an entire evening a week to just sit and read and work through what Anthony Robbins has to teach? Well the first thing he would tell you based on what he teaches in his seminars and books is you have to be sensible and start where you are. By knowing where you, then you have a firm foundation to understand where you are going.

There may be another way for you to begin to absorb the teachings of Robbins’ materials without setting aside entire evening for reading. One idea is to instead set aside about fifteen to thirty minutes one or two mornings each week. Instead of trying to fit reading time in at night when you have chores to do, children to tend to and you are tired and just ready for bed, just set your alarm clock ahead by a half-hour once or twice a week.

When you rise, don’t give yourself an extensive reading assignment. Robbins principles are taught in small concepts, each of which is suitable for contemplation and reflection. In fact, if you digest one of Anthony Robbins’ books slowly by reading just 20-30 minutes a day, you give yourself time to absorb what you have learned and think about it all day long.

So sit down with the book you are trying to conquer and simply read one concept or idea from your current chapter. Read it slowly and if you need to, read it again or read it out loud. These ideas are revolutionary and their intent is to change how you think. So once you have read the concept until you understand it, put the book down. If there are exercises that would help you implement that part of Robbins’s teachings, note them for later. Now you are ready to start your day.

You have many small moments in your day when you are waiting and your time is not used. They might come in traffic as you commute in your car or on the bus or train. Or you may have moments while waiting for a meeting. Use those small spans of time to reflect on what you learned that morning. By allowing that teaching to linger in the back of your mind, it can integrate into your consciousness.

Then by that evening you will begin to have an understanding of what you read that is deeper than you can get with just a quick read. You will learn more and learn better and before long you will have conquered those materials and know the satisfaction that you are on your way to a better and happier life because you stuck with it.

Get extraordinary results in less time. Let Tony Robbins show you how to live a more fulfilling life!

We have heard so many clichés about knowing ourselves first before we can make our own way in this world. We might even have grown jaded hearing these words of wisdom passed down through the ages. Still, all these clichés hold more than a grain of truth for, indeed, personal growth comes from within us.

It will not come when we wait for others to take the lead. It will not come when we wait for the right time to come. It will not come when we do not want it to happen. Indeed, when you want personal growth, you must look into yourself and assess where you were in the past, where you are now in the present and where you intend to be in the future.

Be Honest

Often, you will be tempted to gloss over your weaknesses and crow over your strengths in an attempt to place yourself in a better light. Conversely, you will give in to the urge to overplay your liabilities and underplay your assets because you feel inferior than most people do. In either way, you are not being honest to yourself and, hence, you are fooling no one but yourself. And how foolhardy is that in self-assessment?

When you perform a self-assessment for your personal growth, you must be very honest, even brutal, about your strengths and weaknesses. You have to be able to face the man in the mirror and say: “Yes, that is me, no doubt about it”. Then, find a comfortable place to write in with pen and paper in hand. Relax by taking deep abdominal breaths, clearing your mind of its troubles, and contemplating the task at hand. When you feel that you are ready, you can now start the self-assessment.

First, you must list down the 25 meaningful one-word adjectives that pertain to your present personality. You need not be very eloquent at this point just as long as the selected adjective fits just right. Also, you can classify them into “good” and “bad” columns just as long as you are being very honest about your personal characteristics.

Second, you will also list down your likes and dislikes as well as the triggers that stimulate these personal qualities to come to the fore. Often, there will be gray areas in your list but strive to categorize them into likes and dislikes, perhaps with the triggers and explanations that make them so.

Third, you must identify the things that make you happy and sad. This list will identify your passions and sorrows in life that, in turn, will provide the basis for building on your joys and learning from your sorrows in life.

These exercises in making simple but in-depth lists of your likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, joys and sorrows will provide a more objective, more concrete and more actionable self-assessment. You will discover many things about yourself that you did not even existed when you do. From there, you can develop an effective skills set that will be used to advance your personal and professional life. And now that you have your lists and explanations, it is time to move into contemplation and action.

Be Contemplative

Often, we live such harried lives that we fail to look into ourselves and contemplate who we are as an individual. Well, with your abovementioned lists, you are in a better position to do so! Just make sure that you deliberately set aside ample time to contemplate who you are as a person.

When contemplating your inner self, you must neither be too hard nor too easy on yourself. The goal of a self-assessment for personal growth is to look into your reflection and see yourself exactly for who and what you are to yourself, to family and friends, to professional colleagues and even to strangers. The rationale behind personal contemplation is to assess what part of who and what you are needs specific action for a better you. For example, you can decide to transform your weakness into strengths or to conquer your intense dislike for heights or to indulge more in things that make you happy.

Be Proactive

However, deciding to take action is far different from actually taking action! You must act on your decision during the contemplative phase otherwise everything will be an exercise in futility. Indeed, you are the change you seek so make it happen right here, right now!

In conclusion, performing a self-assessment for personal growth can be a life-changing and life-affirming exercise. It is indeed your willful choice.

People naturally copy other people who they look up to. We got this kind of attitude since we were a child. We naturally do this because we feel secure when we emulate the people we look up to. We also adapt some of their personality and because of this we normally achieve what they achieve. So, if you want to become successful, you may want to know about some of the different traits of successful people.

The traits vary from person-to-person. However, there are basically 5 traits of highly successful people that you may want to know about and learn how to emulate. By doing so, you will be able to have the key to becoming successful. With these traits, you will be able to have the right attitude and the right mindset that will lead the way to your success.

The first is that you need to have confidence. You will see the level of confidence of successful people is almost the same. Don’t mistake this for arrogance but you need to take a look at successful people and they exude an aura that will overpower you the first time you meet. You have to believe that nothing in the world will stop you from reaching your goal. This is one of the traits that you should have.

Another trait that you should have is that you should know what you want and that you should never deviate. Successful people know what they want and that they have their eyes set on it. Everything else is a distraction. They don’t let anything stop them when it comes to reaching their goals. Most people deviate from one goal to another, which is why they are doomed to fail in becoming successful.

Having an extreme amount of concentration is also another trait that successful people have and one that you should develop for yourself. Successful people never leave out a single piece of information no matter how small or insignificant it may seem.

Hard work is another trait that you should have if you want to be successful. It is what successful people have and it is also what you should have. If you have hard work, then you already won 50 per cent of the battle.

Lastly, successful people are not afraid of risks. They don’t fear failure. If they do fail in something, they stand back up and start again. They brush off their failures and they learn from it. These are the traits of successful people. By learning on gaining these traits, you can be sure that you too will be able to reach the success that these people have.
