“Thinking positive” is not just a silly buzzword made up by self-help gurus to make money for themselves. There really is power behind positive thought, and it is achieved by using what are known as subliminal messages. By hearing and seeing the messages, we can surround ourselves with positive thoughts all day long that gradually have a long term effect on our mental well-being, helping us to constantly become more positive in everyday life.

Subliminal audio is one such method of positive thought induction. By hearing music or speech which reflects a subtle but positive mental effect, we can actually induce a positive mindset that lasts all day long. We can also retrain our minds to remain in this state by playing subliminal audio files any time we feel negative or unhappy about something. These types of subliminal audio files also work great for stress relief.

Subliminal words and text are another such method of inducing positive thoughts throughout the day. By surrounding ourselves with positive text and words that remind us of uplifting thoughts and frames of mind, we can create a mindset that helps to keep a good mood throughout the day. These might be phrases that are as simple as “I am a strong person” or “I can do anything I want; nothing is outside my ability to achieve.” By thinking these kinds of words or seeing them written down on motivational posters for example, we can surround ourselves with positive thoughts, gradually eliminating the negative ones entirely.

Subliminal messages are an excellent way to “think positive” using the power of subliminal thought. Our subconscious minds have a lot more influence over us than we realize. By filling them with good rather than bad energy, we can become happier and stronger in all aspects of our lives.

Use the power of subliminal audio for yourself with these two ground breaking albums from Real Subliminal:

Positive Thinking: Designed to help you see the positive side of life no matter what challenges you face.

Have you ever met someone who was so positive about life, you wish you felt that way as well? You can. Positive thinking is a powerful tool. Our minds control all of our thought processes and can be the catalyst for living a happy and positive existence or live life with a doom and gloom attitude.

Here are several ways to not only improve your mindset, but your life as well.

* If you are faced with a negative thought, change it to a positive one. Remember the movie, “Pollyanna?” Her father taught her the “glad game.” She encouraged the town to find things to be glad about. Eventually, they did and were happier than ever before.

* Surround your life with positive people. Go to events which bring you joy or have special meaning. Invoke positive memories whenever you can.

* There is a saying, “It’s the simple things in life that make me happy.” Find those simple pleasures, no matter how small or insignificant they may be. They are yours to enjoy.

* Laughter is the best medicine, especially for a heavy heart. Be around people who make you laugh; it’s quite contagious.

* Love yourself; nurture the inner you; love others, and most of all be kind. Greet the doorman in the morning, or give a hug to someone who needs it most.

* Help someone less fortunate than yourself. Volunteer your time at a nursing home or hospital. When you give, you receive ten-fold.

Remember, what you do affects others. If you are negative, people will shy away from you. However if you are positive, you will be surrounded by people who wish to be in your company all the time. Congratulate yourself on jobs well done! Positive thinking breeds positive results.

Begin your day in a positive manner. Nothing is worse then getting up in a grumpy mood. It not only sets the tone for the days’ events, but impacts your family as well. Place flowers around your home; open the curtains and let the sun shine in. Also, add more light to your home if needed. Light has a direct effect on one’s mood.

Changing the way in which you view life can make all the difference. Try not to think about the negative aspects, but focus on the positive blessings in your life. Turn off the bad news, and channel your thoughts in the direction of goodness. It may be cliché, but take time out to smell the roses. Give thanks for all you have; and be generous to those who have nothing.

Take a look at the smiles on your children’s faces. Nothing in the world can negatively impact the feelings those smiles invoke. Live life to the fullest and enjoy every precious moment of it.

Do you ever find yourself getting stuck in negative thought patterns and expecting the worst possible outcome in every situation? It’s a common mind-set that proves difficult to change when you finally decide you’ve had enough. Unfortunately, negative thoughts tend to breed and multiply on their own – even when you’re not consciously trying to think negatively.

The good news is that turning a negative outlook into a positive one just takes a bit of patience and persistence until the positive thoughts begin to take over.

Below you’ll find three simple steps to begin forming positive expectations on a daily basis:

1)	Develop self-awareness to recognize negative expectations. One problem with negative thoughts is that they often form below your conscious level of awareness, and you get so used to them being in your head that you hardly notice any more. To turn the tide of negativity, you’ll have to develop a stronger level of self-awareness. One good way to start is by performing self-checks several times a day. Pay attention first to how you feel. If you’re feeling positive and productive, most likely you’ve been thinking positive thoughts.

However, if you notice that you’re feeling irritable, pessimistic or stressed, you’re probably focusing more on negative thoughts. When that happens:

2)	Challenge and change the negative thoughts. Believe it or not, it’s fairly easy to challenge and change negative thoughts with a little willpower and concentration. For example, if you find yourself feeling doubtful about your ability to finish your work on time, you might engage in a bit of self-talk like this: “Okay, so I’m feeling a bit worried right now, but really everything is okay. I’m strong, I’m smart and I’m capable of finishing my work on time. I’ll do my best and everything will work out fine.” Even though nothing has changed in your outer circumstances, this type of self-talk can get you thinking and feeling more positive.

3)	At the same time, while you’re changing negative thoughts to positive, work daily on developing a general positive expectation habit. Each day when you wake up, affirm confidently, “Today is going to be a great day! Everything will go my way and I’ll enjoy plenty of lucrative opportunities and fun!”

When you encounter obstacles or problems, see them as opportunities to learn, grow and strengthen yourself. Perception is 99% of the game! If you simply work on shifting the way you look at the experiences of your life, you can easily conquer your negative thought habits.

The more you focus on changing your perspective to emphasize the positive, you’ll empower yourself to create better circumstances in your life. Before you know it, you’ll be enjoying better and more frequent opportunities and attracting other like-minded, successful people to connect with.

When it comes to your quality of life, attitude is everything! In fact, it could even be said that whatever you focus on the most, you tend to bring into your life, whether by choice or circumstance. Have you ever known someone who had a terrible attitude? Perhaps they were extremely negative and pessimistic and not much fun to be around; or they complained non-stop about how terrible their life was. Did you find it draining to be in their presence?

A negative attitude will not only make you miserable, but everyone around you too!

A positive attitude, on the other hand, turns you into a person that everyone wants to be with; a person that constantly experiences great things, and a person who loves their life! Do you want to be that kind of person? If so, read on for some easy ways to develop a positive attitude.

1)	Do what you love. This applies to hobbies and fun activities, but it also pertains to one of the biggest parts of your life – your work! Do you enjoy your job? Are you spending most of your time on something that makes you feel purposeful and fulfilled? If not, consider exploring other career options and moving toward a job you’ll love. When you regularly do things that make you happy, you can’t help but feel better about yourself and your life, which fosters a positive attitude.

2)	Expect the best, always. It’s easy to get into the habit of seeing doom and gloom in every situation, but doing so keeps you forever focused on the negative. Instead, make a conscious decision to expect the best, even if your first impulse is to think negatively. Affirm as often as you can, “This is going to work out great! Wonderful things are going to happen today!” The more you do it the more you’ll begin to believe it, and the more you’ll begin to experience just that.

3)	Build yourself up. Think and speak positively to and about yourself every day. Most of us are in the habit of talking down to ourselves, which leaves us feeling hopeless, frustrated and pessimistic. Get into the habit of building yourself up with positive self-talk and positive thoughts. Affirm your good qualities and downplay your negative qualities. Affirm that you are a work in progress; not perfect but great nonetheless!

4)	Build others up. As often as you can, make an effort to encourage, support and compliment the people you encounter each day. That goes for people you know as well as strangers you meet in your daily travels. The more you focus on emphasizing the positive in others the more likeable you’re going to be, and the better you’re going to feel about yourself too!

5)	Think strength. The more you worry about your weaknesses and “failures” the more pessimistic and negative you’re going to feel. Instead, consistently affirm your strengths, talents and capabilities. You’ll end up feeling empowered and in control of your circumstances, which cannot help but improve your attitude!

Have you ever had a negative thought? Have you ever uttered it out loud, even in jest? Most of us have. More importantly, more often than we’d like to admit. Negative thinking can be damaging not only to our self-esteem, but can begin a cycle of thought and behavior which negatively impacts our own perception of events in our lives.

For example: Perhaps you’ve been assigned a special project at work. You’re confident in taking it on, but upon completion you notice one tiny error. You begin to berate the way in which you handled the project, even though the error was not significant. While your boss is telling you what a great job you’ve done, you begin to make excuses for it. Your negativity has minimized the entire project, and magnified one area of it.

What steps can you take to avoid this pattern? Take a step back and look at the project objectively. Not only did you complete it in an efficient manner, but it will become the template for future projects. Forget about the mistake; think about what you’ve achieved.

The holidays are approaching and you need to begin the house-cleaning project. You look around and decide it’s just too much; you can’t do it; why bother. Stop! Take a deep breath and consider dividing up the tasks. Enlist the aid of your family to help by assigning each one a specific job. Once you begin the process of prioritizing, you will feel better and it will be accomplished.

You’ve started a diet before the holidays. One day, you have a yearning for a particular dessert. You quickly decide your diet is over, and it wasn’t worth the effort. You walk over to the mirror and utter to yourself, “I’m fat, and there’s nothing I can do about it.”

Wrong! Setting yourself up for failure by thinking negatively about the way you look does not solve the immediate problem. Instead, admit to cheating; promise you’ll try harder, and allow positive thoughts to guide you through it.

Probably the most intensely negative thought processes are experienced by teenagers. Perhaps their life isn’t going the way they thought it would; or they are unhappy with school; or peer pressure has made them act in a way that cultivates anger. “I don’t want to live anymore,” one might say. While they may not mean what they say; it is still a sign which requires immediate intervention. The thought can become a seed which could germinate into the act itself.

Either through family, friends, counselors or skilled professionals – negative thought can quickly be turned around into positive reinforcement. It is up to each and every one of us to ensure that any hint of negativity is purged from our thought process; and to avoid imprinting unwelcome thoughts onto our family or friends.

We know the saying that to be successful we need to strike while the iron is hot. However, this is what separates successful people from people who are still living in a dream world. If you continue to wait for opportunity to knock at your doorstep, then you will continue waiting for success to come at your doorstep.

Real successful people don’t just strike while the iron is hot, but they strike to make the iron hot. If you are the person who waits for the opportunity to come knocking at your door, then you are the person who is just behind the people who made the opportunity possible for you. You need to be the one who should look for the opportunity. You should be the one that should be on top of the food chain. Instead of becoming the scavenger who feeds on the leftovers of predators, you should be the predator.

So, what do you need for you to become a real success at what you do?

For starters, you need to remember that predators, such as lions and tigers need to work hard. This means that you need to work hard for you to become successful. If you are just sitting around waiting for success to come, then you are a scavenger who just waits until the lions have finished eating their share, which is a large share.

You also need to be fearless if you want to be successful. You need to remember that many people fail to become successful because they fear on making a mistake. You have to keep in mind that making mistakes is a part of becoming successful. In fact, the mistakes will make you stronger. Mistakes are not failure but it is supposed to be your teacher, which will better prepare you for more challenges ahead. If you give up because you are afraid of making a mistake or because or the risks involved, then you will never be successful.

If you want to find success, you need to look for it. You shouldn’t just sit around waiting for the perfect moment to strike. However, you need to work hard for you to find success. Always remember that success will not just come knocking at your door. Mostly, you need to look for it and you will need to get your hands dirty while you are on the process.

Many successful people talk a lot about how they became successful. However, you will often notice that they seldom talk about the painful scenes in life. So, is this the secret to success? Is this why most successful people live a satisfying and happy life?

You need to understand that success goes hand in hand with positive attitude. If you have positive attitude, the more likely you will be able to become successful. If you recall painful scenes in your life, it will lead you to a downward direction. This is why it is important for you to understand the facts about being positive in your outlook in life and its relationship to success.

If you continue replaying painful scenes that happened in the past, such as a past business failure, then you will never move on. You will only hang on to the past, which will result in fear. Instead, try to learn from experiences and get over it. If you fear risking money to make more money in the future, then you will never become successful. That’s how success works. There are risks involved and you need to know that these risks will always be there.

If you made mistakes in the past which resulted in losing money, then learn from that experience. You need to know what mistakes you made and how you will be able to avoid making the same mistakes again. It takes an incredible amount of courage for you to start investing money again after making mistakes in the past that resulted in losing money. If you learned from your mistakes, you will be bound to be successful.

Thinking positively about the future is what you need to move on. Instead of thinking of the past failures as a painful experience, think of it as a learning experience. Think of it as part of your map to success. It will tell you what not to do the next time you try something similar.

Having positive affirmations is a must if you want to be successful. You need to keep in mind the road to success is a bumpy one. Also, success doesn’t just come knocking at your door. You need to find it or chase it. If you trip somewhere during this journey, then you have to get up, shrug it off, learn from it, and move on with a positive outlook in the future. Failures should make you stronger not weaker. Remember these tips and you can be sure that you will be able to hold the key to your own success.

We got this kind of attitude since we were a child. We naturally do this because we feel secure when we emulate the people we look up to. We also adapt some of their personality and because of this we normally achieve what they achieve. So, if you want to become successful, you may want to know about some of the different traits of successful people.

The traits vary from person-to-person. However, there are basically 5 traits of highly successful people that you may want to know about and learn how to emulate. By doing so, you will be able to have the key to becoming successful. With these traits, you will be able to have the right attitude and the right mindset that will lead the way to your success.

The first is that you need to have confidence. You will see the level of confidence of successful people is almost the same. Don’t mistake this for arrogance but you need to take a look at successful people and they exude an aura that will overpower you the first time you meet. You have to believe that nothing in the world will stop you from reaching your goal. This is one of the traits that you should have.

Another trait that you should have is that you should know what you want and that you should never deviate. Successful people know what they want and that they have their eyes set on it. Everything else is a distraction. They don’t let anything stop them when it comes to reaching their goals. Most people deviate from one goal to another, which is why they are doomed to fail in becoming successful.

Having an extreme amount of concentration is also another trait that successful people have and one that you should develop for yourself. Successful people never leave out a single piece of information no matter how small or insignificant it may seem.

Hard work is another trait that you should have if you want to be successful. It is what successful people have and it is also what you should have. If you have hard work, then you already won 50 per cent of the battle.

Lastly, successful people are not afraid of risks. They don’t fear failure. If they do fail in something, they stand back up and start again. They brush off their failures and they learn from it. These are the traits of successful people. By learning on gaining these traits, you can be sure that you too will be able to reach the success that these people have.

Many people go through life’s usual phases of ups and downs which are common and normal stages in life. However, when your self-esteem is low, you may need to know how to boost your self-esteem, since it can lead to problems you may not have thought of.

Self–esteem is the measurement or the value of how a person knows his worth and its effects are life–changing and dramatic, since it makes up a person’s attitude and outlook towards life.

Simply put, self–esteem is the fuel that makes you feel important or loved by others. When self–esteem is low, you can either sulk and be sad or be afraid to try out new things or take risks and chances with your love-life, career, relationships and self–improvement.

Self–esteem plays a key role in the maturity of a person, especially when trying to get away from a precarious situation, weathering a personal crisis or going through a series of trials in life. Our normal responses to these circumstances and situations are governed by how we value ourselves and how our decisions are dictated by these conditions.

Faced with tough decisions in life, the more self-esteem one has – the better it is for that person to make sound decisions, even under the face of peer pressure or stress at work and at home. Let us try to look into some of the common and best practices which have been tried and tested to help boost self–esteem.

Always compliment yourself daily, especially by trying to look for specific tasks you did well for that day and congratulate yourself for it.

It will give you a regular motivation to work harder and better to improve yourself and develop your sense of maturity as a person. List down all things you are good at doing and achieving, be it a talent, skill, sport or building up other people.

You can add more focus to these good points and these will fuel our passion to do better. They make you not only understand yourself more, but also give you the true meaning and measurement of self-worth and this is how you see yourself as important.

Appreciation of one’s physical appearance and bearing can also be your source of self–esteem, be it the size and shape of your body, your overall physical structure or unique features.

Your body can be your source of pride and will help you understand how you would like others to see you, or work on your physical appearance to boost self–morale and satisfaction.

Although you may regard yourself as important or having a sound mind, there are just some things you cannot change.

Sometimes when you see things in a different light or perspective from others, don’t focus too much on making sure that what you think will cause things to change. More often times it will not, but don’t let that cloud your opinion about yourself.

When you have good self–esteem you will realize that what you did was right and was made under your own good judgment, sound principles and concepts based on your personal outlook and attitude towards life.

Do not let negative feedback affect you. Of course, one cannot help but feel bad about negative comments or reactions, but you have to consider that these are tests against your character and personality. When your self–esteem is high, you are less likely to be affected by these situations.

So try to look at yourself and see, and if you feel less important or are not satisfied with how you see and look at things, then think about ways on how to boost your self–esteem – you’ll thank yourself for it.

Self-esteem is something we all have. Some have a higher one compared to others and if you know someone who has low self-esteem, you can help them change by handing them a self-esteem test.

One thing you can follow is the self-esteem test that is handed out by a specialist to a patient. This is made up of seven categories and it is only after that person answers it that you can find a way to build up their self-esteem.

The first category in the exam is called procrastination. The purpose of the first section is to try to figure out what are the work habits of the individual. Does this person do things on their own or do they need a little push to get the job done.

The next category will determine whether the person is a risk taker or not. If you are risk taker, this means that you have high self-esteem and are optimistic about whatever life offers to you. If you have low esteem, you just want to play it safe rather than rock the boat.

Is it wrong to play safe? No, but you have to remember that if you don’t do it, someone else will. You will probably kick yourself in the head if you found out that they succeeded in doing something which you planned to do yourself.

The third category will assess how well you cope with mistakes. Yes well all regret doing a few things in our life but have you moved on? Some people have and some people still carry it with them. Individuals with high self-esteem are able to overcome the failure in the past and get on the saddle again whenever they fall.

Apart from having regrets, the next category will check whether you generalize about many things in life. When we generalize, we don’t give people a chance and stick to the belief that it if looks like a duck, talks like a duck then it is a duck.

But remember, each person we meet is different so whatever preconceived notions you have about someone are not real unless you give them a chance.

The fifth category will check if we have anger issues. What ticks you off? We all have our limits but some individuals are easily angered compared to others. The test will also figure out what causes it and so a lesson plan can be made to try to change that.

Some people can easily get along with others while some are shy which is why they don’t have many friends or have a difficult timekeeping a relationship. The sixth category in the self-esteem test will determine how well you relate to others especially people you have never met.

Finally, the last category of the self-esteem will ask if the person is happy or not. Although self-esteem is all about accepting what you have and not thinking about what you don’t, some people can’t help but want more.

Again, there is nothing wrong with wanting more but you must never forget or take for granted what you already have.

After analyzing the self-esteem exam, you will more or less know what the person thinks of themselves and others. You can now figure out a way to change some of those misconceptions. You can talk to them or let a specialist take care of it. The important thing is that they change their ways.
